We’re an award winning charity that champions the wellbeing of children, young people (aged 10 to 21), and their families. Our mission is to assist them in navigating challenges related to health and well-being, covering areas such as mental health, LGBT+ support, and issues related to drug and alcohol use.
With locations in Dalkeith and Tranent, our services are not only accessible but also provided at no cost. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, friendly, and confidential environment to ensure that everyone seeking support feels comfortable and supported.
Our counselling service, which is both free and confidential, is designed for young people aged 12 to 18 in Midlothian and East Lothian. You have the option to self-refer directly to us, or a trusted adult can refer you, bypassing the need to involve your school. We offer a non-judgmental space where your wellbeing is our priority.
Our drug and alcohol service, provided at no cost, is both friendly and confidential, catering to young people aged 12 to 21 in Midlothian and East Lothian. We offer a non-judgmental environment to address concerns related to substance use, prioritising the wellbeing of those seeking support.
Our Art Therapy service, provided at no cost and in confidence, is tailored for young people aged 12 to 18 in Midlothian. You have the option to self-refer or be referred by your GP, social worker, school, family member, or carer.
Art therapy employs art as the primary medium for expressing any concerns or worries. It provides a confidential and creative space to explore feelings and emotions that might be challenging or upsetting to articulate verbally.
We provide individualised support for all young people in the LGBT+ community residing in East Lothian and Midlothian.
Additionally, we organise safe and welcoming social groups tailored for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex & Questioning Young People. These groups are available weekly in both Midlothian and East Lothian.
