What does Drug and Alcohol Services do?

Our Project Workers will provide friendly, confidential and non-judgemental drug and alcohol supports for young people (aged 12 to 21) in East Lothian and Midlothian.

We offer:

  • one to one support for young people worried about their drug and/or alcohol use
  • group work programmes that can be run in schools or youth centres
  • outreach drop-ins and supports for homeless young people
  • information and advice for families worried about the drug and alcohol use of a teenage relative

Our outreach project

Our outreach project supports vulnerable homeless young people in residential care or not in education, living alone, etc.

We take an holistic approach and not only support with any drug or alcohol issues but also everything else going on for them that effects their overall wellbeing, so, supporting with housing issues, life/living skills, medical appointments to name a few.

We run weekly drop-ins in the homeless accommodations where young people can come and have a chat about any issues and explore all services MYPAS offers.

We have also run diversionary activities which have included, kayaking, bouldering, fishing, mini golf, paddle boarding and cookery groups.
