A safe friendly space for young people who are 12-21 and identify as LGBT+, questioning or allies.
Young people from Midlothian and East Lothian can attend to meet new friends, take part in activities, get support and have fun.
The LGBT+ social group meet on Monday evenings and Friday afternoons.
Our health and wellbeing group programmes for LGBT+ young people take place in a range of community and school settings, encompassing a range of youth-led topics including queerness and mental health, identity, coming out, transition information, self-care, and other topics. New open recruitment programs will be posted on our website, social media and communicated to schools and community venues.
All young people will be met for a welcome meeting by a worker before their first group meeting to check their needs and expectations and make sure they have access to other services if they need.
The group is in person and often involve small activities, crafts, and chat, although there are infrequent outings when we all decide we want to do something. We accommodate many neurodiverse young people and our group is supportive of stims, tics, and other accessibility needs, as well as respecting changes in names and pronouns.
Please join using our referral form and sending to referrals@mypas.co.uk or by phoning MYPAS on 0131 454 0757. Young people are encouraged to do this themselves.
